The Seward Coastal Family and Crew are 100% committed to your health and safety while on board the Ascension.  We understand the challenges that you have overcome to join us and we are determined to make you feel comfortable and secure while cruising with us. Our goal is to provide you a space to relax and enjoy some of the most humbling landscapes in our country.  While at the same time finding peace from our current events.  While we know that we can accomplish this, it is important that we follow safety protocols that we have in place due to Covid-19.  The following is our policy that will be included in our daily operations.

•  The Captain and Crew will be wearing masks while in the cabin. 

• It is recommended, but not required, for guests to wear masks while inside the cabin. 

• Our deckhand will routinely wipe all tables and high touch surfaces with a CDC approved disinfectant prior to every tour.

• If at any point leading up to your tour you are presenting symptoms of Covid-19 you need to let us know right away and we will refund your tour.  

• A sign posted outside the main entry to the cabin states that no one is to be permitted on board presenting signs of Covid-19.

• All crew and captains will self monitor their own health and report to management immediately upon noticing signs of any sickness.  At which point they will be asked to stay at home and monitor their symptoms and be tested if advised by their healthcare provider. 

• If at any point a crew member tests positive we will follow guidance given by the DHSS.  All party contact information will be kept on file so that customers can be notified by the DHSS.

• If at any point we are notified that one of our previous passengers tested positive we will notify the crew who worked that day and all will be tested. The vessel will be thoroughly deep cleaned, and an alternate crew will be provided until test results are received.  In addition we will follow guidance given by the DHSS.
